Cat People Are Dog-Tired?

Our first pet was a cat. As newlyweds, John and I were the cat people for convenience that choice. We were busy and cats do not have to be walked. We were spontaneous and cats can be left alone for hours. We were poor and cats are cheap to feed.

We do not take responsibility for a dog until after we had a family – until after we had established, market most of our spontaneity of children and saved more than a penny for a rainy day.

Our first dog was a brown, non-allergenic, toy poodle named Geoffrey. I appointed him because I do not like nicknames and the name of Godfrey seemed nickname to the test.

Incorrect. Following the appointment Godfrey's first veteran, the veteran escort us back to the waiting room active. In an attempt to be sociable said: "Be a good boy, God. See you next month." Needless to say, there was dead silence and a shock next room looks.

Godfrey, however, believed he was God. Because not intimidated dog thought it was a pit bull in size challenge.

When we travel, Godfrey was left with his nanny dog. Well, usually stayed with her. Thrice the small adventurer, a five-pound door managed to get out of your model and go home – to the amazement of our neighbor, who heard him bark indignantly doorstep. Yes, a mile is a long journey in four legs.

Once, when the model walked twelve legs – eight belonging to his two Boston terriers – a man driving by shouted: "Hey girl, why not trade all three for a real dog."

The driver was right. Godfrey was not a dog really. It was the family. Gato are guests at home, but a dog that pulls her carrying a basket off the shelf every time he sees you going out is the family.

When Godfrey left us, left a void in our hearts. Now Zechariah, a life of black, non-allergenic poodle, standard with us. Zechariah do not walk – he struts. When other dogs want to play, choose to talk with their owners.

Zachary is thirteen. His black hair is salt and peppering, but within that body Cary Grant'ish is my soul mate. Why give me a nickname name Zachary? Because he had reached the end of the alphabet before he could find a name that desirable.

The dinosaurs became extinct all around us I was on vacation last month when news broke that the triceratops was gone. Not learned that for weeks, and I'm still not over the shock.
